The Benefits of Yoga & Kirtan

sunset yoga image_edited_edited.jpg

The Natural Rhythm of Yoga  encompasses many self healing tools, including asana's (poses), pranayam (breathwork), meditation, mudras (hand positions to direct energy) mantras (internal or external chants for presence, focus, peace of mind and transformation), yogic philosophy and vedic astrology information (linked to the Vedas, ancient Sanskrit texts), with an intention to work in alignment with all that exists. We are all energy, frequency, resonance and everything around us and beyond us is energy. Energy cannot be destroyed and will always exist in one form or another.

My intention is to help to bring you into balance and alignment with the energies in existence all around us and within us, to guide you through the natural energy flows of life and to share with you the tools and wisdom that I have gratefully received on my journey.

The practice of yoga is beneficial for all aspects of self; physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energetic and in my opinion, a powerful tool for the journey of healing and self realisation. Ancient and revered, it is deeply rooted in Vedic philosophy, helping us to live in right relationship with the earth and all living beings, to develop a deeper awareness of who we truly are and to align, if we choose, with our true purpose in this realm. The practice of asanas (poses) is the perfect way to prepare mind, body & spirit for meditation and deeper healing practices should you choose.

If you are new to yoga, you may begin to develop a greater relationship with your body, mind, soul and energy and if practiced regularly, listening to your body instead of your ego, you will find the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits will continue to expand.

Kirtan (Bhakti & Nada) - The Yoga of Sound and Devotion is another Ancient Vedic practice utilising the power and vibrational resonance of the voice, with the understanding that we are Frequency Energy Beings.

I offer informal gatherings where we can gather in community, in a safe, non judgemental space to sing and chant mantras together. Regardless of how you perceive your own voice, this is not about being perfect or learning to sing, this is about your own unique connection to the Divine.

The practice of Kirtan is devotional, it opens the heart, helps us to stay present and aware and creates a deeply healing and peaceful frequency for ourselves and the collective consciousness. In my opinion it can also be a great tool for healthy energetic release and expression, if you choose.

You are also welcome to come along just to receive/experience. All faiths/non-faiths, belief systems, cultures and identities are welcome and accepted. We end the evening with tea and cake and an opportunity to further connect in community or just rest in the vibrations created. Please continue to check here on my website and on my social media pages for regular regular Friday evening dates.

I believe we are all part of a wider collective energy, a consciousness that unites us all. My offerings seek to bring that element of this wonderful journey we call life, into our self healing and empowering practices, our awareness, our consciousness,. And from experience, so far, for me, it has made this incredible life journey, even more incredible.

These ancient and sacred practices and wisdom gained from them, have been beneficial to me in ways I could have never have imagined, and I simply love being able to share these experiences with all who choose to join me.

Your journey is unique to you, your energy is your own, and your interaction with all energy around you and in the wider collective is so personal to you. The teachings I offer can open up many ways for you to work with this, and the beauty of that, is that it is entirely your journey, I am simply showing you the path to your own discoveries and holding space for you to step into your true power. Om. Namaste. Aho.
